Luna Venus Jupiter Conjunction (12-01-08)

Taken with the XTi and a 50mm lens from downtown Houston (at sunset, the most daylit image) and later in The Woodlands, TX.

Thanks for the kind comment! Stopping the 50mm f/1.8 down to 8.0, then leaving the shutter open for 3.2 seconds. The non-circular pattern of the aperture blades caused spikes on the longer exposure. I get a similar thing on my Vixen R135S but the pattern there comes from the single stalk holding the secondary and from the cheap beige plastic around the end of the tube (time to use some paint).
