M20, the Trifid Nebula (4-22-12)

OK, the Trifid again, too.  My last color image of this was taken with the 6" without a coma corrector, and it showed.  This one is much better.  Shrunken to 60% of original size.

Telescope: Orion 10" f/4.7 Newtonian and Astro-Tech CC (eff. at f/5.17)

Wow! It almost looks 3-D! I'm really surprised, too, how much color and detail you're able to get at your location with that Astronomik filter.

The filter helps alot, I think. Thanks for the nice comments. I still may like our united effort on this object better.

Oh, and, I should add, I had the filter mislabeled. The IDAS-LPS2 is a Hutech filter. My mistake. It really is a great help in my light-polluted skies.
