NGC 896, the Fishhead Nebula (also IC 1795) (Nov. 2019)

11x1800" with the SXVF-H9 through the Synta-ONTC Newtonian telescope at f/4.95, Astronomik 6nm Ha filter, Baader MPCC (II).

With this image. What processing steps did you use? The background and the nebulaosity are so smooth without looking like plastic?

Hi, Austin,

Actually, just light noise reduction after stacking. My camera is a ccd camera with large pixels and I use a 6nm Ha filter. That and long exposure times give me more signal and less noise.
